02 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
03 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
04 - 4 large egg yolks
05 - 1/2 cup sour cream
06 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
07 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
08 - Vegetable oil, for frying
09 - 1 cup powdered sugar, for dusting
→ Candy & Sweets
10 - 1 cup pastel Jordan almonds
11 - 1 cup white chocolate-covered pretzels
12 - 1 cup pink and white marshmallows
13 - 1/2 cup gummy candies (butterflies, hearts, or flowers)
14 - 1/2 cup meringue kisses
→ Fruit
15 - 1 cup fresh raspberries
16 - 1 cup strawberries, halved
17 - 1 cup seedless grapes
→ Sweet Dips
18 - 1/2 cup lemon curd
19 - 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
# Method:
01 - Whisk together the flour, salt, and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Incorporate egg yolks, sour cream, melted butter, and vanilla extract until a cohesive dough forms.
02 - Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth, then cover and allow to rest for 20 minutes.
03 - Roll out the dough thinly, approximately 1/8 inch thick. Cut into strips measuring 1 by 4 inches. Create a 1-inch slit in each strip’s center and pull one end through to form a twisted shape.
04 - Heat vegetable oil to 350°F in a deep pan, maintaining 2 inches of oil. Fry angel wings in batches for about 1 minute per side until crisp and golden. Drain on paper towels and dust liberally with powdered sugar.
05 - Arrange the cooled angel wings centrally on a large serving board. Organize candies, fresh fruit, and meringue kisses in attractive clusters surrounding the centerpiece.
06 - Place lemon curd and vanilla yogurt in small bowls and position them among the sweets to encourage dipping.
07 - Optionally garnish with edible flowers or gold leaf for an elegant presentation. Serve immediately and enjoy with guests.
