- Fruit: 1 cup (150 g) fresh raspberries, 1 cup (150 g) strawberries halved, 1 cup (150 g) seedless grapes
- Sweet Dips: 1/2 cup (120 ml) lemon curd, 1/2 cup (120 ml) vanilla yogurt
Instructions
- Prepare the Angel Wings:
- In a large bowl whisk together flour salt and sugar. Add egg yolks sour cream melted butter and vanilla. Mix until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rest for 20 minutes. Roll the dough out very thin (about 1/8 inch/3 mm). Cut into 1 x 4-inch (2.5 x 10 cm) strips. Make a 1-inch slit in the center of each strip and pull one end through to form a twist. Heat 2 inches (5 cm) of oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry angel wings in batches until golden and crisp about 1 minute per side. Drain on paper towels and dust generously with powdered sugar.
- Assemble the Candy Board:
- Arrange the cooled angel wings as the centerpiece on a large wooden board or platter. Group candies fruit and meringue kisses in attractive clusters around the angel wings. Place lemon curd and vanilla yogurt in small bowls and nestle them among the sweets for dipping. Add decorative touches like edible flowers or gold leaf if desired.
- Serve:
- Serve immediately and enjoy with friends and family.
